How To Know God

1. Realize that you are a sinner.
No matter how good in live we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. The Bible says, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:10

2. Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.
The Bible tells us, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. This is Good News, that God lives us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it. God really does love you!

3. Repent of your sins.
The Bible tells us to “repent and be converted” Acts 3:19. We change direction and instead of running from God we run toward Him. The Bible give us this promise, “If we confess our sins, He (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9

4. Receive Jesus Christ into your life.
Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church on Sunday. It is having a real relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus said, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in . . . Revelation 3:20. By faith in Christ you can pray and invite Jesus into your heart and life.
